Serving a Lemvara owner

Lemvara is the owner-controlled memory of a vehicle. Owners share temporary, scoped access links with the shops they trust — here is exactly how that works, what you can see, and how to send a service record back.

How it works

Owner-initiated, expiring, scoped

  1. 01The owner shares a link

    A Lemvara owner creates a temporary access link for your shop — scoped to the sections they chose, expiring on a date they set.

  2. 02Open the scoped record

    The link opens a read-only view of the vehicle: identity, mileage history, and whichever sections the owner included. No login needed.

  3. 03Submit your service record

    If the owner enabled submission, send one completed-service record through the link — or via the HTTP API below.

  4. 04The owner approves

    Your record waits in the owner’s approval queue. Nothing is added to their vehicle history until they approve it.

What you can expect

The rules of the road

Temporary by design

Links last 3 to 30 days, then end automatically. Nothing lives forever.

Scoped

Owners pick exactly which sections are visible — mileage, maintenance, repairs, warranties, recalls, documents or insurance.

No credentials needed

The link itself is the access. No account, password, or app install required.

Owner approval

A submitted record waits in the owner’s approval queue. Nothing enters the vehicle history until they approve it.

For developers

HTTP API

Both endpoints are public and take the raw token from the owner's link (/shared/<token>) as the only credential. Prefer the share page's form for occasional use — the API exists for shops that keep their own systems.

POSThttps://lemvara-auto-vault.base44.app/functions/resolveServiceAccess

Turns a share token into the scoped, read-only vehicle record the owner chose to share. Personal details (VIN, plate, owner identity, policy numbers) are never included.

Request body

{ "token": "<64-character token from the owner's link>" }

Response

POSThttps://lemvara-auto-vault.base44.app/functions/submitProviderRecord

Submits one completed-service record for the owner's approval. This never writes to the vehicle history — it creates an approval request attributed to your shop. Requires a link the owner created with submission enabled; up to 25 submissions per link.

Request body

{
  "token": "<64-character token from the owner's link>",
  "type": "maintenance" | "repair",
  "title": "Front brake pads & rotors",
  "date": "2026-09-28",

}

Response

{ "ok": true }

Errors: 400 missing title · 403 link is read-only · 410 expired or revoked · 429 submission limit reached (25)
